Past Due Tuesday #2

It isn’t a family treasure. Four years ago it came out of the back room of a second hand store for ten dollars. I bought this shadow-box style mirror because it’s just so “kitschy”.

There isn’t a story behind it, at least not one that I know….. It’s just a gaudy 1950’s – 60’s mirror. It’s SO me! I couldn't imagine not owning it!

See more great vintage things on this link to Past Due Tuesday. Perhaps share a vintage memory of your own!

Hmmm.... kinda cool. W/ the mirror in the back shouldn't it be called a reflection box - as opposed to a shadow box? :) Sorry - that was lame ...but it is EARLY in the morning & I 'm just getting started! :)

You're right!

And you might as well start early now that it gets dark before 6:00!

That's too wonderful for words! If some of YOUR favorite items are anything like some of MY favorite items, you have friends and family members who openly despise them!

What an elegant way to display your cherished collectibles! Really brings a lot of warmth to an otherwise flat wall! Thanks for sharing and being a part of Past Due Tuesdays!

I love this mirror! My great grandmother used to have one in her dining room/kitchen where she kept little things people brought her from all over the world, also had a a jar where she kept her money from playing cards and when it got full we'd go to the wharf and get some calamari! Thanks for the memories :) Have a lovely past due tuesday!

Hi Lupines,
They just don't understand, do they ;)

Hi Jan,
LOL, I just UN-loaded it for the picture!

Hi Roomie,
Thanks, it's a lot of fun!

Hi Jen,
It seems to be the "gathering" spot for my treasures, too.

Thanks to everyone for stopping by. Hope you had a great Tuesday!
